  1. Are you putting any chemicals in the water ? Do not use please release me ar catch n release with a oxygenator only usw the U2 when you turn on the oxygenator. supposedly the granular type catch and release turns the livewell water to salt with the oxygenator
  2. Yes we were in sand branch and they were tearing them up in there all the way in the back about 3 foot deep in 6 feet of water. we didnt do that good on the bass up there but like u said on the lower end i am catching them still gues i know where i will be this weekend. Hope u do well crappie fishing. The lake has already came up a foot and a half hope it doesnt muddy it up to much for u up there will try and check friday if i have time and let u know
  3. I was up the Grand arm above Bucksaw and yes there is shad up in the backs of the creeks. Caught several whites on the edge of the flooded grass. all about 2lbs on a spinnerbait.
  4. RR how far up the Grand did you go i know alot of fish are in 10 fow 8 foot down is that about what you did? good to hear from you
  5. WW Truman is not dumping. Neither LOZ is either. When Truman does start The water up There is in really good shape. I beleive that your should stay good
  6. Yes Josh they are up around sparrowfoot. I was below the otters yesterday bass fishinf and the water temp was 62.5 and there was a few being cuaght off the banks mostly males. Shouldn't be long if the floods dont destroy it up there.
  7. I would go to bucksaw and go up the river and start spider rigging the bigger creeks right down the middle of the channel with minnows They really started to move last week
  8. Mopan I agreee with you on what you said. You are obviously more educated on the levy system than i am. I understand what you are saying about the coe working with the mdc on water release for the walleye in loz. I would just like for once to hear the mdc say they are doing something for the fish up on truman. I am not the sharpest knife in the cabinet. but i would venture to say that there are more people that buy there corps launch permit and stay in the corps campgrounds that are there to crappie fish than about any other specis. I know that crappie is not a MDC pet project like the muskie and hybrids and spoonbill and walleye are. just saying that all of the river systems are down LOZ is 4 feet low and they are not generating so why not get our lake down before the spring rains come. History shows that we get that about 99 percent of the time. I work on the lake and try to scrap out a living down there sometimes they can make it difficult on you. If you cant tell just went and bought my annual pass for 2 vehicles so i know just by the number that i got at the truman office that the lake makes them a few bucks a year before they generate any electricity. oh well to nice a day better go fishing. And thats another thing why do they call it annual pass when they dont maintain the courtesy dock in the winter.
  9. Thats funny we had the guy that was in charge of lost valley come to our bass club meeting the other day and thats not we he told us
  10. No i don't want truman drained in the winter but don't know why they have to hold it 1 1/4 feet high right now what would be wrong with holding at 704 only 2 feet below normal while the mo and ms rivers could handle the water. It would omly take a few days to get that level with no inflow. last year was not that bad on truman almost all year they kept it at 704 1/2. Iwould just like to see yhe corps exercise some common sense. And take into consideration all of the lives that they affect. I know that there paychecks come every week regardless of other people or actions they take.
  11. What kind of fish go they take for warsaw?
  12. My point California wildlife and parks filed a lawsuit today against the corps maybe someday they will learn. Back when we had The Truman guide assn. When we would go talk to the corps in Kamsas City the first thing out of their mouth was this lake was built for flood control. But wouldnt common sense tell you to get the lake several feet below fool pool before the spring rains come. All the charts and graphs in the world with no common sense will tell you we get the majority of rain in the spring.
  13. You know though all of january theu had the chance to get these lakes down. if you go and look they have been running water thru bagnell for a while then shut it off. but on truman only runninr for 3 hours and then shutting it off. Can't do anything about it just sad for the fish which i jnow they care nothing about. I guess they know more about mother nature than we do. funny how they keep truman feet low during the summer. Amd then before the spring rains they keep it foot above pool. nice work dont care about the fish or marina owners.
  14. Can anyone explain why the corps wants to hold truman a foot and change above normal pool??? They didn't learn a thing last year i guess. They run a trickle for 3 hours a day. during the week nothing on the weekend. I guess they are always ready for a dry apring once in 20 years. So another high water year messing up all the spawns.
  15. I like that color nice job
  16. better in the evening oneshot
  17. Love the hat nice fish too
  18. neither i am fishing halfway bach in the coves anywhere the creek channel swings in and touches the bank as long as the boat is sitting in 12fow some have come as shallow as 3fow seems like i am letting the bait sit for 20 seconds between jerks i am throwinf a ima flit and a lucky strike jerkbait on 12 lb mono hope that helps i seen a boat down there saturday just as you start up grand at point 1 was that by chance you
  19. With the rain last week the lake is rising fished today 2-5-12 The water temps actually warmed up some from last week. Today they seemed to bite better with the sunshine. Had 5 keepers all on a jerkbait with 8 shorts yesterday had 4 keepers one about 4 1/2 lbs was the biggest and only 2 shorts. Tons of shad on the electrnics anywhere from 8 to 25 fow. The crappie bite has been excellant in the upper grand they are spider rigging them using minnows in the bigger creek arms hope all the water coming down the grand doesnt mess things up. The bass on Truman right now are the healtiest That i can remember been here since the lake went in.And actually before that.
  20. Up the Pomme De Terre river
  21. Talked to a gentlemen today who has been below the dam catching a few walleye he said his biggest so far about 5lbs. Said he had seen one about 7lbs caught. He also said the crappie we going good also.
  22. was wondering where u were at there rum was hoping the law didnt get ya haha
  23. We like to use jiffy cornbread mix in azip lock bag and some creole seasoning. Sometimes we will even dip the fillet in 7-up gives it a sweet taste
  24. No arm brian put in at the dam caught all around that area. didnt go 3 miles from there quite a few guys out they were all catching them.
  25. Got on the water at 9:00 am water temps were 39 degrees at the dam on my temp guage. took off at 2:00pm water temp was 40 degrees. The crappie are in 25fow catching them about 15 feet deep over brush on jigs. Most of the shap are right in the channels. looked likme alot of guys are catching them on the bluffs also. Good Luck.
