It's great to have the phone numbers to check generation schedules. You can also go online and check schedules. A word of warning - much like the phone messages, the web-site is not always dependable. Go to www.swpa.gov and click the generation schedule link. After selecting the day of the week you are interested in you'll see a chart with numbers assigned to each dam. Every 50 is approximately equall to running one unit. The most helpful thing is to check the site and chart the flow yourself so that you are able to better predict the generation levels.

Clay, the guy you talked to is Sid Phillippi from Rogers who has a place on our street. A real nice guy. My place is the cedar house with the cement access beside it.

Phil, haven't heard anything about holding the water.

I didn't want to step on any toes or seem like a know it all, but when I see a guy planning a first trip and he mentions his family, I think a word about safety is paramount.

SIO,

Thanks for the safety reminder. I have been to the white twice before, once in Feb 07 so I definitely know how periods of heavy gen can be. We have chosen sites specifically with location and distance from water in mind. I'm sure there's no such thing as too far away when it comes to wee ones but I feel we've done the best we could. I know I will have my hands full keeping tabs on all four of my little angels (wife is included in that one). Thankful;ly, she will be able to help with the rascal wrangling.

OH YEAH!!!

Beautiful place you have there...I have floated by many many times...Great fishing right out in front of you, even in low low water. Maybe I'll lose a few lures in high water next to your shore line so when the water goes down it will be like Christmas for you... :D
