Members wildminnow
Yea Jackie don't let Trav bother you, just accept the fact that he is the best and knows it all. Why do you think they had to make a forum just for him? No disrespect to him though lol.
Trav
Haha I am sure Phil will argue the fact of wether he made a forum just for myself. I was under the impression that he broke up a few lakes in order to specify regions of those waters due to difference in diversities. Second, I have never claimed to "know it all" nor "be the best". Although I believe that at close to 2000 hours a year of dragging lines in the Lower Taney, that does qualify as being probably one of the most experianced on this end of the lake. Finally, I have dedicated a lifetime to the sport, in almost every aspect, and Yes I have been to alot of different places. Yet, I can not claim to have been everywhere. Sarcasm aside. Alot of of places known for great fishing I have yet to go and some will probably never see. Sure would be fun to go fish South Eastern Russia and my all time dream is to fish the Amazon. I think if Jackie D is as good of a guide as he has been endorsed on this thread then he probably brushed off my suggestion the minute he read it. As Bill validly pointed out, I didnt have a clue as to Jackies clients or the situation that was present. I just commented on a pattern that works on the Lower to assist if possible. Not an ounce of ridicule was in the statement. Jackie D, pardon me, I am not in the loop of who are/arent guides nor do I care to be. With you being a new OAF member I was curious to who you were so I threw the question at you. Sometimes intentions and more so, tones, can be misread on a forum based dialogue. Rest assured that if I was questioning your manhood, you wouldnt have any doubts. Haha You can ask anyone who has been a long time member of OAF,(especially Phil, who gets the pleasure of sifting through it all), and most will tell you that I have a Big Mouth and thrive off controvesy and differences of opinion. As it was pointed out, I do so without malice wich continues to be the case here. I would like to think, that all in all, I am here to exchange ideas and have friendly reciprocity. Thom
TRAV: The answer to your question. "Your a guide?" is answered below. Jackie is a lifelong resident of Willard, Mo. He attended and graduated from Willard High School. In 2003, Jackie and Jimmy were inducted into the Willard High School Hall of Fame for their outstanding achievements in Regional and National bass fishing tournaments. Both grew up fishing the Southwest Missouri area lakes including Table Rock, Stockton, Truman, Bull Shoals, Pomme De Terre, and Lake of the Ozarks. Jackie has been Angler of the Year with Operation BASS Everstart Series 2003, Heartland Pro-Am Association 2006, Heartland Pro-Am Association Elite Trail 2005 and Central Pro-Am Association 1998. In November of 2001, Jackie was the Bass Master Central Open Champion at Lake of the Ozarks. In 1997, Jackie won the Nitro Savage Summit Tournament on Table Rock Lake with a first place prize of $100,000 in cash and prizes. Seems for someone so well informed about local fishing you must be sleeping on this one. Defination: exchange of ideas: implies listening and talking. You might want to concentrate more on the former and less on the later. This information was on the link following your post that asked: "your a guide" Thom Harvengt
Trav
Thanks Thom I didnt see the link. Haha I have been known to shoot my mouth off before getting the whole picture. That I cannot deny. As far as local fishing, I couldnt tell Abe from Stonewall. None of it means a thing to me. So, If I was sleeping through the race, it was probably because I didnt run in it. I know the fish, not the people. . "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson

I think your fishing tips are very informative and the rest is just good entertainment. If you are as good at catching fish as you are other forum members in debate then fishing Taney must be easy. People should just take this stuff for what it is...........the internet. I won't criticize what other members say, maybe disagree, but they can post what they want about fishing and whatever as long as it fits the forum rules. When the other parts of this board are dead I can always find something interesting to read on the LT threads. Keep up the good posting and fishing, here and in the water.
