Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted April 7, 2008 Members Posted April 7, 2008 I've been fishing this lake fairly steady for 5 years now. I'd hooked and either broke off or unbuttoned probably a dozen that would go from 6-8 lbs. The 5lb mark had eluded me by a mere ounce. But yesterday that finally changed. Curiously, it was the only bite of the day between I and my lady. And it happened in the first 10 minutes of a 3+ hour day of casting. Jig and chunk in shallow brush- (NOTE: I'm having trouble linking within my message "uploaded" images(would show preview). They seem to upload after I've browsed for them, but refuse to show the preview in the window, so the url link was a workaround...Also, cannot utilize the text editing features. Clicking on the icons or scroll down menus does nothing. Help? Mac OSX10.4.11, Firefox 2.0.0.13) Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted April 7, 2008 Author Members Posted April 7, 2008 LOL....I was on my way to do that, doc- and done. However, there's still some funny stuff that is going on within this forum that I dont seem to have issues with anywhere else.- even my spacing and shift returns are all messed up (at least as it shows on my screen). snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I understand the pic problem, but that's a nice fish. Is this Lake Sherwood in St. Charles County? SIO3
Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted April 7, 2008 Author Members Posted April 7, 2008 I understand the pic problem, but that's a nice fish. Is this Lake Sherwood in St. Charles County? SIO3 Yup, thats the one- actually, technically we're in Warren County. The border between the two runs the eastern border of the community. 150+ acre main lake. snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I knew it was close to Warren but thought it was still St. Charles. I've fished it, on and off, over the years and it is a great lake. That's a beauty. SIO3
WebFreeman Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Sherwood, you might delete for cookie for oa.com and see it that helps. Mine's done weird things and other respects and that's fixed it. Nice thing about Firefox is you can view them in a list of the Preferences panel. Also, you didn't mention how big your file was, but it they're too big, it can cause trouble. 800x600 is big enough for our needs. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
