Members KansasBoy13
When I went by at 8 a.m. all 10 gates were open this morning came back by at about 10:30 a.m. and all were closed...What do the COE have in mind? Is it so Taneycomo and Bull Shoals can get caught up? Seems kinda risky with rain in the forecast for tomorrow and friday but I dunno just seems like a strange thing to do, anyone heard anything that I possibly missed? MOBass
I heard third or fourth hand that they are going to hold Table Rock for the time being. That is subject to change with more rain. Someone stated in another thread the COE does things based on what happens and not anticipation of events. It looks like this might be the case. Don Allenbaugh
It appears that there plan is no plan. They can only react, preventive measures is not in their vocabulary. Don A
Bill Babler
Gates were closed from 9 AM until this afternoon, to allow Scotty's Trout Dock to be put back into position. Powers that be were afraid it would break loose again and hit he bridge, and it was a hazard to navagation. Table Rock is going to reopen, but not to the extent it was. They are going to hold us and Beaver and see if they can run a little water out the lower end. Do not be suprised to see 920 Plus water into July. Man what a spawn that will create. It's all good. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

CMAC
Bill and others: In perspective what does 920 mean (I know the lake level, but from Bill's perspective is Mill creek campground still under water, is the pt. 7 sign still underwater, etc.)? Thanks.

Thanks. Most of Mill Creek camp ground was still closed, Wednesday. I'm not saying that you couldn't find a dry camp site, but there were just a few. We launched before light and near the end of our time, we decided to go back and fish the west bank near the swimming area. I should have know, but was surprized to find it under water. You could see some tree tops sticking out of the water, though. I believe the lake has dropped about another 6" to 12" since then. You can launch, but there is a large crew building a dock or two close to the launch ramp and when they are there, they pretty much occupy the ramp and around the ramp making it hard to launch/load. dwiebenga
I have been watching the lake level, and I am curious to know is the Corps planning on leaving the lake at about 930 through spawn? I apoligize for such an amateur question, but I am just curious for next weekend.
