ollie Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Some may care where it came from, but I wouldn't tell either! You could fill us in on the lure and whether or not you C&R a beautiful fish like that. I'm guessing it went over 20"? If so, that is a trophy of a lifetime for an ozark smallie. Congrats to her and you as well. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Danimal Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 The fish measured about 19 inches. Bobbi is a petite lady (about5'-1"). She caught it on a Zoom Finesse Tube in pumkin pepper/green rigged on an 1/8 ounce leadhead. The fish was photographed and released. Thanks for the kudos. I'm very proud of my little lady. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
RiverRunner Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Could be from the Ouachita Mtn. drainage? I wouldn't tell either, it takes too long to grow a trophy brownie. Dan-O, you ought to try a 4"ringworm on a 3/16 jighead. I've caught some toads on those things when they won't touch a tube.
Danimal Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 Getting warm there RiverRunner. But that's as far as I'm going on this one. I'll give the ringworm a try when we float the Kings weekend after next. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
