I know it's still early in the game but maybe some of you that get to fish quite a bit can help with this.

Does it appear the channels have changed for us boaters?

For years, we knew the navigation routes thru Fall Creek, along the bluffs, etc.,

but I'm assuming some of this has changed.

Saw the one big tree just up from Phil's last weekend.

Hate to meet that after dark.

New maps forthcoming eventually I hope.

In advance..............Thanks for your replies.

Main channels are the same. Nothing major has changed even at the dam. Really can't tell for sure what has happened as far as minor changes. There is a tree right in the middle of the lake in front of Trout Hollow and one just down from Rebar. It looks like if the water was all the way down, this trees would be on dry ground. BUT the tree may cause the gravel to shift and create something different in that area.

No other changes.

The change Bill is referring to is the depth of the water with the boards down at the lower end. You'll see this mainly at Lookout and the otherwise shallow water there and above KOA to the dam. Just don't assume if the water is running fast that there's enough water over the gravel bars to make it.

How much should the boards being down @ Powersite affect depth?

I've eased thru places at Fall Creek that were barely 2 feet as is.

I saw "Channels" and I was hoping someone caught a channel cat!

Be nice to have some channel cat in Taney!

Are jet boats not used that much down on Taneycomo? There are many little rivers around here where I live so jet boats are a big thing and for running upper Taneycomo would be perfect. I'm not afraid to fly over 4" of water in my 1648 powered by a 50/35 Yamaha jet drive outboard.

Jet rigs are louder and don't get as good of fuel mileage though I will give a prop victory in those two categories for sure.
