Bill Babler Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Buy another one if the one I just bought dosen't work. I have at least a dozen good ones now, and probably 3 times that in yucky ones. I change the hooks to Gammy's and down size the split rings. I also remove the front split and use a speed clip. Trim all excess plastic from around the break in the middle so it moves easily and pray it works. 1 out of 5 will be a absolute winner. Gary Lange Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I recieved and e-mail from a Largemouth Bass Named big Baba who advised that he had several altercations with Red Fins and none were good. He did note that he was released each time and returned to the water. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!

Anyone want to give tips on anything that they do to the bait to make it work better?? Bill speaks the truth. Some Redfins just won't work properly no matter how much you tinker with them. I've found that the Jackall Mikey and Mikey Jr. wake baits are far more dependable, but they should be since they cost somewhere around $20 each. Good thing is you aren't apt to lose a wake bait on Table Rock. On my home lake of Beaver, you're risking feeding one to a striper every time you toss it out there.
