Guys...thanks for the replies and for shedding some light on the life jacket issue...as far as the skiers and wake boarders..all that...i have no problem with them at all..i have a lot of friends that go out 3-4 days a week and play around...WhackEm..i am out on TR about every two weeks or so..if not more...and i have fished on weekends...weekdays...holidays..you name it..but had until sunday never had as much problem with other boats...i usually fish out of Cape Fair..but with the parking issue there...i went to Aunts.....i was just amazed at the number of people ..a lot...compared to the number of boats...not that many considering the holiday.....that were just idiots...the lack of respect was almost sickening...i by no means feel we as fishermen should have and more right or space then anyone else..just seems we have a little more respect for others then some of the pleasure boaters do...

I believe there are fewer boats and PWC's this year. I don't know if this is because of the gas, because of the high water, or because I avoid the hours they are prone to operate. I think the first and second are the key as I had a memorable morning not long ago where I saw no one on the lake until around 10:00 AM. I was sure it was a Twilight Zone movie.

The ones I do see are not going slower, though. Just me. I am making a real effort to use speeds other than full and idle.

Do you see the cost of gas slowing the skiing and jet skis down any at all around table rock? I thot it might slow the lake traffic down some , with less boats. etc.

For me its hard to say...i would have to think its slowed it some...but im not out every weekend enough to compare it...i just dont see how it couldnt be a lil less then years past..but as some people say..if they can afford a 50K boat..then they can prob afford to put gas in it...i really didnt think there were an obscene amount of boats out on sunday..but thats sunday too...not saturday..

How does Bull Shoals compare for boat traffic on weekends etc. Maybe I need to look there for my move. Any comments on where you guys would rather live. I like to fish for walleye and whites and stripers etc. Trout on flies good for me also.

Bull Shoals is where you want to move.........Lots of walleye's and very few boats.............

It seems as if the Truman trees weed out any skiers and jetskis too. It is just too far with the price of gas to drive. Plus I love Table Rock. Not another challenge like it!

man.......... now you done went and let the cat out of the bag!

but seriously, bull shoals is a very nice place to locate.

you may have to haul your own fuel and bait as there arent a whole lot of places

to buy it on the water(at least where i fsh anyway) but you really dont have the kind of lake traffic you find

on tr or taney. it is where id locate if i could, probably gonna be 10 years or more before i can.

Bull Shoals and Norfork bouth are full of idiots too. I had one on a jet ski darn near run into me as he tried to out run us across a point, there was not any room, I finally had to shut it down and turn hard to avoid killing the kid and his pass. Bull Shoals aint any better, you have idots that think you markers are something to run in around and out of, and other idiots who think running into the cove wide open and thrwoing a lure two or three times will win them the tournament.

Better carry insurance and no guilt someday you will be hit by an idoit ona just ski or some other idiots will drag their kid under your boat on the tube.

We were on Norfork today and darned if an idiot did not run between us and the bank, we LOAO the skier fell on the point and the green brairs scratched the hell out og him, we were LOL and they wanted to fight over it. I bit my tongue and continued to catch a couple small whites as they came closer I said serves you right!!!

Later at a gas station they pulled in turned up their rap music, I cranked up the BOSE in the truck with Ring of Fire and shut them down, topld them to pack it up go home to momma before they got hurt.

I wonder how long these idiots will terrorize fishermen? someone will get enough of it and do something bad!!

The only way to lessen the chance of lake idiots: Find a lake with HP restrictions. Even then you arent safe, its just the odds are well in your favor.
