Many thanks to all. It dried real quick. Like the construction expert said, "less than a minute." If I can do it anyone can. I do have a brown thumb. I will get back to you if the stuff ever wears off.

Predator....if she can't make it on the fishing honeymoon in Mexico....I do have a passport.

Here I am digging through the OAF archives in search of solution. I think I found one here on this thread but just wanted to clarify.

The wire on my 'ducer got chewed up (darn OTTERS!!!!) and was wondering if it could be spliced back together.

Splicing transducer wire isn't any different or difficult than splicing the cord on my shop vac is it?

Sure could use a good excuse to spend the cash on a new graph but I also want to get to go to Texas next week as well. B)

Decisions Decisions, A little bit of solder and some tape covered in silicone sounds good if it can be done.x

Much appreciated for anyone's feedback.

Ouch! I know exactly how you feel. When mine was cut, the wire itself was still intact. It was the wrapping which was cut. Mine has worked fine ever since, but I didn't have to splice. Sounds like you might want to replace yours.

A Lab chewed the ducer wire for my LCX-110 and I spliced the wires back together and it worked as usual......I did end up getting a new one but the splice allowed me to get on the water and not have to wait for a new one...........

make a clean splice it will work fine, you can buy rubber splicing tape at any home center.Combine it with a little liquid electrical tape and you will have a long lasting water tight connection. the rubber will stay soft for years, unlike electrical tape that will get brittle and crumble over time . The rubber tape is also great for trailer wiring. good luck

Thanks Fellas,

Spliced it and used silicone to seal it.

Waited for it to dry

Then I wrapped it with foil to take out any unnecessary echoing.

Then I put more silicone on that.

Waited for it to dry

Then I used electrical tape since I was too lazy to go to town for the liquid stuff

Then I put silicone on it.

It isn’t pretty but I can guarantee it isn’t going to leak. Ha-ha.

I tested it in my fish tank, worked fine. It said I had fish and I looked in the tank and saw fish. I verified it was correct Guess we will see for sure when I get the boat back in the water.
