Spro Frogs

Has anyone made any modifications to increase their hook up rate with the Spro Frogs. I love the bait, but I am losing fish after they are hooked up. Are you setting a firm hook?

I would rather stay away from a trailer hook.

I use braid. I don't jerk too much I lift up quickly when I feel the weight of the fish. I have not lost too many, but I haven't caught a whole ton on it either.

You HAVE to have braid. If you are not using braid, do not even attempt to fish the bait. We have gotten several tips, as a buddy of mine fished with Rojas at Grand and witnessed the magic...and a couple of other Elite Pros throwing the bait...the conversation always starts the same....you must use braid...That being said you are going to lose some fish
