Wayne SW/MO Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Orvis makes, or made, a tool to slide down the leader and pop the hook out. I generally grab the hook shank with stats and roll it out without touching them. Its not 100% percent, but it works most of he time. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jdmidwest Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 That tool is called a Ketchum Release, its sold in several places. I bought one several years ago and still use it from time to time. Some companies make fordeps with the tool on it also. Ketchem Release "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Chief Grey Bear Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Heck why would anyone use a net? If they are too big, just drag them up on the bank. And I like to use treble hooks. I can get 3-times the hooking power.
