Members TRSmallie Posted August 13, 2008 Members Posted August 13, 2008 I am planning a trip downt to Gastons to drift and throw rogues and pointers and mabey some Sebile Swim Baits. What size, brand of flourocarbon would be good with my baitcaster for those Browns? I might also if I have no luck to try sculpins and or Crawfish. Any info on rigs that would help out allot. Thanks for any help!
taxidermist Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 We like Vanish gold 8# we use it on all of our reels. I took my brother out with it and he was able to land 14 bows from the dam to Wildcat, it was his firsty time in a boat on White River. He could not believe how sensitive the line is. Just make sure the line is wet when you tie your knots.
Ham Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 With as much flow as we are having now, I think you could go up in line size a bit. I won't use line under 14 lb when throwing high dollar baits. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
