This is fact. Factory is closed/doors locked. I just sold the supreme I won in the 2009 tourney. Bet it was one of the last ones they made. Brought $6700, but was set up for a jet which is useless to me. called to have it modified for prop motor and chad told me the doors were closed.

ANyway, I'm in the market for a new boat. Like the looks of the topwater, but it is only 44 inches wide which is just a little wider than my 2000 series supreme, so not much of an upgrade. Around $6500 boat & trailer. Also been looking at the #1 guide series built by roy & harley carlsen. they are basically a supreme L48 as roy built the original supreme mold. probably about the same price range depending on what you get put into on on them. The thing that makes these boats so much are those ez loader trailers. They are basically $1500 or so, which i think is high for such a small trailer. I mean we are only talking a 500 pound boat. I have had my last two trailers built for around $600, so may try to go that way again. What are the shawnees running price wise right now. Are they building a 60 inch boat? It used to be the commisary model I think.

I think the price for a 48" Shawnee with the flat floor will run around $4,000 plus or minus a little-I'm not really sure. You'll have to give them a call or go by for a firm price, but I do think a boat, EZ Loader, and 3 Tempress seats will be less than $6,000.

Where on Walker road is the shop? The last Shawnee I looked at appeared to have been finished by a little kid on summer break, but i think that was before the new owner, so I would be willing to give them anotehr chance. anyone with any experience with topwater out there?

On Walker Rd. just past indoor tennis place at the bottom of the hill. Partee concrete tank place on the left and just across the road is a mini-storage place with a chain link fence. Inside the mini-storage place is a 40 x 60 metal building that they are using to build the boats now.

I have hated every jet I ever driven. no offense, just not for me. I bought 2 new 25 merc 2 strokes prop motors just to lastg me aboout 10 years. I checked out some jets. found new in box 2005 25/20 2 strokes merc for $3000. four stroke 30's were around $4000-$4500. if you ask me, that is riduclous

also I fish on high water 90% of the time. I would of had the transom cut down on that boat, but it was not set up the way I like mine.

Cotterboy, if your looking for something similar to the Topwater you may want to check out the Raven Boat. The finish quality is equal or better and it is also wider. The only real down fall for these boats is the wait to get one, but that also means that the company will be around in the long run.

I saw one at carson & hodges in Bull Shoals, but it was sold. Who is building those? It did look pretty nice, but I did not know if they were a fly by night operation or not. it looked like a 54 or 60 inch boat. would like to run one to see how they do.

I went and looked at the shawnees today and i think they are on the right track and the new owner was really informative and seems to really stand behind his product. The down side was that they did not have any of the flat floor boats to look at until the end of the month, so I will go back and check those out. They are 48 inch bottoms.

Jets are different and do have some definite downsides, but I've really enjoyed mine. I love not having to worry about hitting a prop and it will run in about 6 inches of water.

I hope I don't have to think about a trout boat for a long time.

Do you fish on the White mainly? What type of Jet are you running and on which boat. I have a buddy in the market for one and am just curious.
