bclift65706
not me but I would like to and try some of the deep holes bumping the bottom with a sassy shad and see if I could bring up some flathead catfish I read something that said they stack up like cord wood in the deep holes in the winter time. snagged in outlet 3
I've walleye fished below Winfield dam, I think. It's been a long time. We went out with a guide named Larry Woodword(sp?). He used to be a local guy in St. Charles but I haven't heard of him in a while. He also had a show on TV called Outdoors in The Heartland. We motored up to the dam and drifted back using half ounce jigs with different colored plastic grubs on them. Sometimes tipped with a minnow. We whacked em pretty good while chunk ice came through the dam. It was cold. We also caught sturgeon and catfish. Most of the fish were really sauger and not walleye as I remember. Not that it would matter. SIO3
