Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 26, 2008 Root Admin Posted November 26, 2008 Brian is sending me a marked USGS map of the river but I'd like as much input on this map as possible before adding it to the site. I'd like to have: -recommended floats for fishing -camping spots along the river -points of interest I have distances between access points. Thanks- Phil
Flysmallie Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Phil, You are leaving off the best part. From Riverton to Myrtle Access is some very good smallmouth fishing. Lots of good water and spots to camp.
Brian Sloss Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 The map I sent covers Thomasville to Myrtle. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
jdmidwest Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Phil, why did you go and do that to the 11pt? Now it will be crowded like a trout park if the secret gets out! "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 26, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted November 26, 2008 Well............. I STILL have not fished it. What can I say. I'll create it, then hide it. No- charge $100 for it. Naaaaa..... Catch 22
jdmidwest Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 That's the beauty of it, its out in the middle of nowhere, and no RV Campsites or major towns along the river. Few accesses and requires a little skill to paddle and flyfish. This keeps the crowds down. You can have most days to yourself on that river.
