Hey guys,

Matt Tucker (www.ozarkchronicles) and I went on a seriously big road-trip over the long Thanksgiving weekend. We ran into a few people we knew and told them a little about it and we were greeted with a lot of comments like "AWESOME!!" and the inevitable "WOW!!!" We have a lot of photos and video to run through so give us a little time on the full report or photo essay but I do have a little trailer that pretty much tells what we did--if you pay attention.

Thanks so much to all of those who helped...you know who you are and you will be remembered and immortalized. ;)

Here is the link (if you can click on the "watch in high quality" in blue under the video)

Well Brian... as it may appear by the "trailer" you guys kept your waders on the entire time and did not take any showers. ;)

Tell me if I miss counted, but did you guys hit 19 different trout fishing areas during your recent fishing "pilgrimage"?

I could not read the name on most of the signs. Also, was the order of the photos the same order of your fishing destinations?

Very Impressive....looks like you visited almost every trout stream in the State..Did it count if you didnt catch a fish?

You bet it counted! We at least got takes at all but 2.....which is way more than I expected. VERY productive.

There is only one missing and we didn't want to go to boot camp to be able to fish a meat market. ;)

I like the idea of a 4 day trip but how much fishing did you actually do? 1200 miles and 27 hours in 4 days doesn't leave much time to fish all those areas. But, you can bet I'll be tuned in to see the final report. Nice!!!

I think everyone would be surprised at the amount of fishing we were actually able to get into. We were up every morning no later than 5am and on the first stream of the day as soon as possible after a gas station breakfast -- but the waders were on from the time we got up to the time we pulled into whereever we were staying (also had rods rigged up, so all we needed to do was step out of my rig and fish). We fished until dark, and played out the logistics of the streams in a pretty good order to keep daylight driving to a minimum and did night fish on occassion.

Don't get us wrong.....there was ALOT of driving. But i have a new appreciation for Missouri Trout Fishing. The fishing was better than expected, but no pigs were caught (although a few were hooked).

No kidding, we fished a whole lot more than what I first thought we would be able to. Did we fish as much as we 'really' wanted to, probably not, but that just spurred us on to get back to those rivers or creeks that we really enjoyed.

Without giving too much away I think I can say for the both of us that we came away from this trip with more than we thought we would.
