Thom Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I have an idea that might be interesting follow up to the swap. Next trip I will fish each fly for 1 hour and then report the results of each fly using different presentations. If others do the same it will make an interesting topic. I will probably make my next trip sometime in late February to Taneycomo and report the results. Of course the quality of the fly could be adversely effected by the quality of this angler but i will give it my best shot. Thom Thom Harvengt
Don Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Nice fly Don. Have you decided when we are going camping yet??? I have camp fever. I have had custody of my two oldest daughters for the last three months so my opportunities are limited. I usually make a fishing trip decision at spur of the moment or the night before. I like to start camping when the night time lows are 32 or above. I'll keep my eyes on the forecast and let you know for sure. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Flysmallie Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I like to start camping when the night time lows are 32 or above. Sissy. Actually I'd like the night time lows to be somewhere above 50 but I don't really care either. As long as there is a campfire I'm happy. I hear what you are saying about the girls. I don't get to go anywhere without some extensive planning and pleading with the wife. And of course we have a volleyball tournament almost every weekend until April. But we do need to do it this year. Maybe we can plan a smallmouth trip. But my flies will be in the mail in the morning. I know, I know, I'm holding up the whole deal. Sorry about being so late. Not only am I fat, I'm lazy too!!
duckydoty Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 Your fine Flysmallie. We've had a pretty good participation level on this swap. Usually one fella or two dropps out. I think we're batting 1000 here. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
