It is comforting to see that people I've never met can be so thoughtful and supportive. Guess that's fishermen for ya.

The downside to having this much advanced notice is the lack of moral you and everyone else will have until "D-Day" rolls around. I had three months notice and it was like going to an all day funeral every day. We kept busy with work, but when things counted, we were just like "whoopie... big freakin' deal"... My customer actually gave us a big contract a week before we closed (we had been working with them for 2 years on the project) and my contact called and said tongue in cheek "GREAT NEWS!" We did have a big laugh over it... Best of luck to you in whatever transpires. I've taken mine as a wake up call to change careers and so far, I love it!! bclift65706 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 patfish work is slow for me now I have a couple of good jobs coming up in the near future I hope to get them done by April 1 so that I can fish all of April and May then I will be ready to go back to work until August when it gets hot. We might carpool so we can save money and fish all the way through september. Wouldent life be great for a working person could plan work around a busy fishing scedule like this.Mabe one of us will win the POWERBALL tonight.
