Terry Beeson Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Went eagle spotting yesterday and wound up at Roaring River (after 4pm, so no fishing.) We saw a few eagles and got pretty close to one. Images turned out blurry, but did get a good shot or two of the river itself. Thought I'd share... Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 26, 2009 Root Admin Posted January 26, 2009 Terry- can you email me the original?
Flysmallie Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Great shot Terry. And yeah I did wade down the river with mine hanging around my neck again today!!!
DD'sMC Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Another great capture, Terry. Way to go! We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.
Terry Beeson Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Thanks ya'll.. PF... No, not quitting fishing. We didn't get there until after 4 or there would have been flies wet before the pictures. Ronnie... One word for ya... MONOPOD.... I picked one up at WM and really makes a difference. Phil... Snow Fly Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Terry: What lens filter did you use "God gave fishermen expectancy, so they would never tire of throwing out a line"
Zack Hoyt Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Great pick Terry. Not sure which monopod you got, but there are a few out there that double as walking sticks. Actually I think they are walking sticks with the ability to attach your camera. Just a thought. You are making me mad at mayself for not getting out and taking pics lately. Terry Beeson Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 SF... No filter... Well, the UV filter, which I keep on the lenses all the time for protection from dust and dirt... Shutter speed was about 1/2 second if I remember right (have to look at the Raw file to see for sure...) Zach... This one does have a knob you can put on the end and a grip so you can use it as a walking stick. Pretty neat for $20. I'm gunning for a good tripod next, though. I've got a cheap $6 I got at Radio Shack on clearance, but want something more sturdy. Of course, I don't think I'll be getting any of the $1,500 ones....
