strangercreek Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 http://store.theflyshop.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=3744 This is kind of cool. A hinged cap for making your own rod tubes. Not a bad price. I have made a couple with regular plumbing parts, but I like this idea. I am not sure if the cap is padded or not. I am going to send them an email and ask.
Danoinark Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Yeah, a little pricey though. I can make three or so pvc tubes with the screw on caps for that price. I have made several. Some commercial tubes are even less expensive. Just a thought. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Terry Beeson Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 (NOTE: MICHAEL KYLE - DO NOT READ THIS POST...) Yeah, you can find them at the Bass Pro Outlet Store complete for less than that... Limited lengths, though. grizwilson Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I love these from Jon Bardole in Libby MT. $25 bucks, can leave the reel on, and the attached DIVIDED liner keeps the rod from rubbing and you do not have rod socks to lose. He will usually cut a deal on shipping if you buy several. http://cgi.ebay.com/9-2-piece-Fly-Rod-Reel...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Michael Kyle if you are interested I can bring one by for you to look at. I know Jon supplies some shops in Montana. g “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
