Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 6, 2009 Root Admin Posted March 6, 2009 Had a great turnout... thanks for coming out. Bill did a great job I thought. I learned alot. I'm trying to post the audio of his talk. It's a whopping 860 meg file though. Anyone know how to condense it down to a manageable size? I counted 68 people at the gathering. One gentleman drove from Lake of the Ozarks.
timsfly Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Bill is very interesting to hear speak, I learned a few things about table rock, that I really hadn't even thought of before, but he is full of good info. The rods and baits he had were great to, it is always good to see the colors and rigs other guys are using. Thanks for the bumper sticker and the hat Phil. Thanks for all the helpful hints last night Bill. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop

bigredbirdfan Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Couln't go the watch the kids thing. Was this recorded where it could be posted on the net? Sorry, I just read Phil's post. I will wait to hear it. Any video?
techo Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I thought it was a great seminar and well worth the price of admission. I think about half of the folks managed to get a prize of some sort. I saw the little guy win a cap and a rod. I was hoping he would. You know he had to have a great day going with his family to an event and then winning such a great prize. I met Bill in the past and knew what a likable personable character he was. There are a number of places where fishing is a top secret thing. If you catch a fish....you try to sneak it in the boat so no one even knows you have it and then release it quietly. You would never tell someone how or where you catch fish. It is a great deal different with most people around the Ozarks. Bill is one of the better known guides on Table Rock and an expert net-worker. He is willing to share exactly what baits he and some of the other guides use, when, where, how deep, how they are tied on, color and time of year in relation to spawn and water temps. That is a mouthful! The MDC guys were great too. They appeared to be a couple of folks that care about their project and the health of the lake. Many thanks from Mrs. techo and myself for lugging in all of that stuff, spending your own time sharing what you know with us. Kind of nice to see the World still has people around who would do all of that for free. Tim Carpenter
Members DougFunnie13 Posted March 6, 2009 Members Posted March 6, 2009 Just wanted to say thanks to Bill for a great seminar, it was very helpful. Also thanks to Phil for organizing everything and for this great site. THANK YOU!
Flippin Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I am disappointed that I was not able to attend the seminar. Sounds like Bill did a great job. I am sure that was an opportunity lost for me. Thanks to Bill and PHil for the forum and all the tips. I consider myself new to bass fishing and all of the guys on this forum have helped me a lot.
Gary Lange Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Hey Phil could you find a Secretarial service to transcribe it and then post it as a Word Program. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
