fishinwrench Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I can pop all over the internet at lightspeed but lately (for the last couple of days) when I click on OAF it's like the old dial-up days, and sometimes even crashes my system. I thought it might be a problem on my end but I've done scans and virus checks (all ok), dumped the files and cookies and rebooted but still having trouble loading the content here and moving about the OA site. Anyone else ? Thanks, Wrench

Thom Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Same here. Sometimes I can't get the link to load unless I go to search and then to the other pages. Mine has been doing it all winter off and on. Today I did get on better but very slow to load. I have high speed internet and all other links are zip zip zip. Thom Harvengt
trout fanatic Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Been having probs here too. Took my puter in to have it serviced-all the files cleaned up and trashed all the junk I don't use anymore. Even had more memory installed. The end result was blazing speed except for when I log on to OAF. Not sure why
Trav Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 It has always been this way and it is sporatic according to the amount of activity. The server provider/host needs to allot more space for the site. It will continue to get worse as Phil expands and membership activity increases. I have scene this happen proffessionally on numerous occassions. Phil might want to discuss this with the company he has the site powered with. IPS? Power Board? Until then, relax and play some solitaire as you wait for the pages to figure themselves out.
