Ham Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 My map of the East section of Bull Shoals shows the area above the Hwy 160 bridge on the Theodosia arm "Closed to all activity from 11/1 to 3//31". That's really the time I would be MOST interested in fishing that area. I would appreciate additional information about this. Who set those regs in the first place? Why are those regs in use? Is that notation on my map accurate ? Thanks for any and all help on this. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
ozarkgunner Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 I think there use to be a waterfowl hunting zone in that arm. I don't think it still lasts as long, as now they generally go until the end of goose season (late Jan.). Try checking the MDC website. Angler At Law

jdmidwest Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 If it is closed to all activity during that time, it is probably a Waterfowl Refuge/Resting Area. No boating, hunting, or fishing during that time. 3/31 seems a little late in the year but it could be. Check the Corps of Engineer Website for details on that area for more info. Mike Worley Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I think there is a "stream closed" fishing season in the areas above the normal lake pool on lakes in Missouri during that time period. Streams are closed, lakes are not. Sorry, after reviewing the MDC regulations on the MDC website I have not been able to find any closure for the Little White River. In years past I think there was a stream closure during the early spring months for some streams in Missouri.
