Gavin Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 I think that Warts come with size 5 trebles. Unfortunately, most folks only stock replacement hooks in sizes 2, 4, and 6...I'd go with #4's. Cheers.

Martin Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I second the Mustad Triple Grip trebles, especially on crankbaits that are trolled, but they are great on just about any crank or jerk.

I went last weekend and had a limit that went about 16 pounds on the wart . My buddy was fishin a fire tiger wart and caught a 5lb large mouth. As for hooks i go with the EWG Gamakatsu size 4.
rps Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I, too, prefer the EWG Gamakatsu for crank baits. For topwaters I use roundbends. If you've read some of my other comments, you know I tinker with many baits. Oddly, I don't mess with the warts. The hooks that come on the original series just need a touchup with a file and work very well.
