Thom Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Bass pro has a very good DVD on beginning fly tying that covers all of the tools, a few simple flies and other good advice. It is onlly $ 10. What I like about it is that you can stop it and rewind or just use it for a refresher occasionly. I do beginning classes for Seniors and newbies occasionaly and It is a good starting point and introduction that just KISS. Keep it simple stupid. works for me. Thom Harvengt
redbird Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I second the Al Capbell beginner fly tying link. It was really helpful to me when I got back into tying as an adult. Another good source for videos is The Anglers Net. Some good videos by some skilled tyers. Look in their Archives. That site also has some cool videos and some nice guys from back east where Im from origionally. I post on there occasionally to give them a taste of flyfishing in the midwest. http://www.theanglersnet.com/Fly-Tying-Vid...x.asp?section=6 Im not a Cardinals fan, but I am a Cardinal. If you know me you know what that means.
