jay bird Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Went up Kings on Sunday with the family and tried our luck trolling shad raps. I had a three year old and a 5 year old in the boat so casting was not an option. We ended up with about 40 whites some small bass and crappie that put us at about 50 fish. Took home about 35 whites and threw all the rest back. We where about one mile above deer bluff. Put in at 1:30 and was off the water around 5:30 or 6:00. Here is some pictures of a couple of the nicer ones we caught. All in all a great day.
Tightline Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Those are some healthy looking Whites there Jay Bird, good job. It seems like any White bass report on the Table Rock forum gets covered up quickly,so I've been keepiing a closer eye on it lately. Sounds like the Kings is going to have a (once in a long time healthy) run also this year. Keep up the good reports. I'll bet those youngsters had fun, thats what its all about, right there.

jay bird Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Put in at Viola with the kids it was a little easier with the dock. Hickory is closer to where we fished, but a little hard to load the family. I always like to stop in at Kings River Marina and give them a little bussiness anyway, great people. The campground is looking great this year it looks like they have done alot of work to it this year and I think the dock at the ramp is new this year or last.
