Chris, what area of the state are you?

I'm down in the SW corner. I have heard reports of them being found North of me though. That's why I thought I had better get out there.

I ended up with 112 and the weird thing was I found everything from blacks the size of my thumbnail to whites the size of my fist.

Thanks Martin. It was kind of fun taking pictures of mushrooms. I might have to carry a real camera somtime.

On that first photo I put up from last year, I had to go home and get the camera before "harvesting" those. It's rare I walk into that many in one spot. Now I try and take the camera with me.

Well, it's a few here and a few there for us. Finding anywhere from 6 to 36 each day. Keep in mind this is not "all day" walking. Just an hour here and an hour there. It may be a little early for the bumper crop, I'm unsure. It's kind of different this year. I'm thinking the upcoming cold might mess everything up. We'll see.

I found 8 whites on Friday up by Stockton. The end of the week looks good for a large bunch coming out.

You can coat them with the exact same thing you coat your fish fillets with and deep fry.
