patfish Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 If you could get in DRC on the age you act... the wifey could totally get me in. Way to go TJ, you may have hooked your lifetime pass to go fishing... "Sorry dear, the girls want to go..." That is one heck of a monster 'bow. Congrats to your daughter!!!
Members trout junkie Posted March 27, 2009 Author Members Posted March 27, 2009 The ironic thing about this story is that the fish was caught on a 4 weight Stowaway that I bought as a "gift" for my oldest daughter 5 or 6 years ago. Trust me when I say that my wife saw right through that one!
Members ksbass Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 TJ Nice! Isn't DRC great! Did you see those battle scared brutes? The setting is wonderful with the trees and all. Over the bank and you're in a remote stream somewhere. My son Seth already has item 1 on next years Christmas list. Can you guess? My 9 yr old daughter thinks that she'd like to try some of her own tied flies at DRC. My son is headed to Montana (with his flyrod) for 3 weeks with the G-parents and Emma and I might sneak down to DRC for a couple days. She'd get a kick out of outdoing her bro on one of those lunkers. Thanks for the report and girl with trout pic! P.S. Does anyone have the Norfork Tailwater campground phone number? Are canoes allowed down the Norfork? Float from the dam to the Ackerman access? Troy Check out our line of furled leaders at Dad and Em's Fishing Products!
McManus Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Why doesn't Missouri have an equivelent? Why don't the trout parks have a kids only area? Does Missouri have kids only fishing areas any place in the state? "Many go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after." Henry David Thoreau
