DD'sMC Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 great photo! We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.
Terry Beeson Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Great capture! Just a smidgin' soft, but still great detail. LOVE the DOF on this one. I would probably go in and retouch enough to get that OOF light streak just over his back coming from his tail and above his tail... Looks like a little limb or bush behind him? What speed and f-stop was this taken? The softness I see when looking really close looks to be either too much light or too slow shutter to freeze him completely. Or was this a hand held shot? Could account for it. Still a really great picture! A lot sharper than a lot of mine for sure... Members Kutter Posted April 24, 2009 Author Members Posted April 24, 2009 Terry, I was just playing around with a new camera, testing what it would do. It's a Canon Powershot SX10 IS. At my age, deer hunting is not as attractive as it once was, it's become work once the shot is made. My eye's also aren't near as good as they used to be and I made a couple of bad shots last year that I should not have made. I got both deer, but should have seen they were not "keepers". What I am getting at, is that I'm to the point that I want to switch from a rifle, to a camera. This is the camera I decided would make a great starter for next falls deer "season".
