Brian,

My experience on Monday was a good one overall. The stadium was great with a couple of complaints about my particular seats. :( . One thing I didn't care for in the old Busch was how if you were seated in certain sections of the outfield, your view of some portions of the field were cut out. Same thing here. I got into one of the Larussa plans when they went on sale. Can't say the price was bad, however, our seats are right down the first base foul line in the third level. There is a handicapped platform that juts out on the same level. We have no view of center field unless you stand and look over the disabled folks. Also, there is no scoreboard to view. Sucks for my wife who isn't real good at following the game pitch by pitch. Hopefully they will insert a scoreboard across the way so us folks in the right field sections have one to stare at. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. The stadium is beautiful, easy to get around, and still houses the best fans in baseball.

Kyle - sorry to hear about the seat location.. but like you mentioned.. all is not lost. I would also imagine in time they would put up another scoreboard that can be seen from where you guys are seated.

I was totally in shock today when Edmonds blew those 2 plays, basically costing us the game early on. When Carlos Lee robbed the homer from Encarnacion and then later ends up winning the game with his own homer in the 11th.. whew -- what a game of ups and downs this one was with the Brew Crew. Worst of all to me is Izzy seems to be getting worse before getting better.

All new series coming up with the powerful Reds and especially with Harang pitching tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, Jimmy muffed another one last night. Then he has a 3-1 count with the bases jammed in the bottom of the eighth, down by a run, with Carp on the hook for the loss and he strikes out. Unbelievable !!!!!!!

That's all I have to say about that.

Well, we, the Cardinals won earlier today with Ponson on the hill.. minus Edmonds who had a shoulder injury and needed a cortizone shot (i.e. - a break from his lackluster past coupla hitting and outings at center).

Luna had a career day.. a different closer actually closed and Pujols hit another shot out.

Lets just see how we do tomorrow with Mulder on the mound, I hear Griffey is gonna play. (he did just pass Mantle on the all time HR list ya know)

The best season would be the Cards and Red Sox in the World Series with Stan The Man tossing out the first pitch.

Brian: Went to my first Cardinals game Sunday in the new stadium and it was great! Big Albert saved the day and it looks like to me the Cards need to see if Mr. Luna can play left field and let J.Rodriquez play right field, at least give it a chance won't be any worst off since those positions have not produced much to date. I thought Looper looked pretty strong for the two innings regardless of the double that really only caused a problem because of the error in right field on a line drive tailing back to Encarnacion who had a sure double play since the Reds had a hit and run on. The base runner was at second when he dropped the ball. Needless to say the poor guy is not a fan favorite and I think he is pressing. I don't boo the home team players {I just shake my head and talk to myself} and the season is so young, that people need to let up a little on the booing!

Albert... Albert... Albert

Cards need some pitching!!! Their best pitcher is a hitter!

My first game will be the 26th... can't wait.

I agree with the pitcher being the best hitter, I was kinda in shock when they announced him as a PH to lead of the 9th inning, I have to take my hat off to him and Tony.

Hope you enjoy the game and the stadium.

I have to agree about the pitcher being a very good hitter. Have to admit that I was stunned when they announced hm as a PH to lead off the 9th down by one run. My hat off to him and Tony.

Hope you enjoy the game and the new stadium!

Encarnacion or however you spell it needs to go back and learn how to use two hands and catch a simple fly ball.

Albert is the hero and saved the day yesterday though :D

I bet Dunn felt happy to be the league leader in homers for atleast an hour haha.

ESPN Link to Pujols article - early Monday night

Not since 1962 and Stan Musial has another Cardinals player hit 4 consecutive home runs in 4 at bats. Albert Pujols is on fire! ( and I hope it is infects the whole team! ) Wow~!

Let's hope they pull out a sweep against these cellar dwelling Pirates!

Dunn hit # 8 out for the Reds just now. Pujols still in the lead!
