Not that this is the most difficult way to fish, but ponds offer a lot of enjoyment.

What is your favorite pond lure?

My favorite has to be any swimbait 2 to 4 inches (fished on either a jighead or swimbait wide-gap hook).

Best color has to be baby bass or black and silver.

When fishing a new pond, I almost always like to start out with a 1/4oz White Roadrunner for at least a few casts! They're good for almost anything and give me the best chance for some action on nearly any species in a pond!!

Foam beetles is first choice (depending on time of year), followed by scaled down streamers. Ponds are a ton of fun!!

Dahlberg diver size 2 or 4, stike it thru the weeds and bounce it off of the bank. The bass love it!! Usually the brighter the better.

I love pond fishing!!!! If I had to pick only one bait, I would have to go with the Zara Spook. For some reason, bass LOVE to come up and whack the snot out of anything on the top of the pond. For sinking baits, I like a jig and pig or a small white spinner bait. I grew up fishing Table Rock, so I try to take advantage of throwing things other than soft plastic when I am fishing a farm pond. Not to knock on the Rock, but fishing finesse rigs gets old after a couple months.
