wily Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 we're coming down in a couple of weeks...was wondering if there's a golf course in forsyth? i see on the web where there's suppose to be one...but i also see where it's closed. any of you locals like playing golf -- if so where? thanks
tippett7 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 That course in Forsyth has been closed for some time now. I would recommend Branson Creek or Murder Rock. Amazing courses.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 There are a wide range of courses around Branson the two mentioned above are at the top of the range. Google golf Branson and you can get all you need. Here I did it for you. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...;q=branson+golf SIO3
wily Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 i was hoping for something a little more off the beaten path...something where i might take the family, and not have to worry about pace of play.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I don't think Holiday Hills gets very busy but I haven't played it years. It's real rock pile though. I used to take the kids and my dad there. Maybe somebody has some more recent info for you. SIO3
wily Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 ok, thanks for the info. maybe we'll just go for mini-golf in forsyth...any tough tracks?
back2roots Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 There is a mini course in Rockaway...not too sure of their hours. There is also a nice little par 3 "city" course in Branson with a big playgrouond for the kids. I think it is called Don Gardner Par Three....easy to find. Have a GREAT trip! Bill If you liked the sound....Thank the engineer!
Forsythian Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Yeah, for a true relaxed family outing the Don Gardner par 3 in Branson would be your best bet. I like the Holiday Hills course well enough... but they can get a bit uptight about pace. Cenosillicaphobiac
