glennL Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 A few friends came down for the weekend fishing. In the afternoon it got hot, so we headed over to the rock on point 25. While swimming, a few of us felt something bump us a few times, but couldn't figure it out. We were in about 55' of water. Does anyone know what kept bumping us? Fish? Snakes? What kind? Someone saw a copperhead swimming nearby. Is that a concern? Many people swim this area off their boats. I'm not going back in the water until I find out what it was. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Glenn
snagged in outlet 3 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 That has happened to my family many times while swimming there. Pulled out the goggles and watched bluegill and rockbass dart up and peck people while swimming. They mostly pecked at the colors on the swimsuites. SIO3
KCRIVERRAT Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 If you've got a scrape or cut on your knee or leg anywhere, the perch or bluegill will peck at ya. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
motoman Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Yup, I've seen the blugill do that. A little unnerving, but harmless.........................so far!
