Dutch Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 BPS 100 mph is the best stuff I have ever owned. It is the only suit that I have that actually keeps me dry.
Donna G Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I've had a set of Bass Pro Shops for years and it is does a great job keeping me dry. Gets pretty stuffy, though, if it is warm outside. I've had them so long the outside layer on the knee pads and bottom have blown out. Duct tape is a wonderful thing. I've heard the BPS 100mph is awesome, especially in cold weather. I'd like to get some just for the winter. Wayne SW/MO Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Anyone use Frog Toggs? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
techo Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I use the BPS stuff too. I purchased the bibs one year and saved some more money and then bought the jacket the next. They last and last. My friend uses the Frog Togs and buys a new set every year. They fade fast and the wind rips his seams, eventually. They do seem to last the season though. He likes them, but ...I like the BPS stuff. I fish a couple of charity tournaments every year and one of them has close to 175 boats. I always try to pay attention to equipment people are using to include rods, reels, footwear, rainwear and so on. The folks that fish alot and spend time out doors usually have the more expensive rain gear. The guys that fish occasionally or purchased the rain gear for that day, have Frog Togs. So I would think if you aren't out a whole lot the Frog Togs would be perfect. Tim Carpenter

rangerman Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I've used the frogg toggs in Ketchikan Alaska while salmon fishing, and the guide I was with was thoroughly impressed with how dry it kept me. I never did get any leaks. Great stuff for the money. The secret to keeping it from tearing out is making sure you get a size that gives you room to move. I have a set of heavier cableas brand raingear I use in the winter with fleece underneath.
