ollie Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 It's that time again. We need to pick a date for our last clean-up of this year. I am wanting to pick the second or third weekend of October. Either way some of the vegatation will be gone and it should be a litter cooler out by then. Let's hear from everyone on this!!! denjac Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 You call it I will will be there. Also dont forget the stream team event at the glades this month. I also think there is a meal too. Buzz Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Either day is Ok with me too. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Ok then, the date will be on October the 24th which is on a Saturday. We will start around 12:00 and go for 2-3 hours. I will try and get more details as the days go by. ollie Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 The only real details I have at this time is the official start time at noon and that we will have food provided for sure, whether or not I fix the food or not! I will need to know if Buzz can provide the canoe again, how about it Buzz? Doesn't look like we will have another canoe unless someone from here is willing to bring another one. Sound off and let me know who can make this one. Buzz Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 You got it, Ollie. I'll bring the canoe. Which section do you think we should work on this time? If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted October 12, 2009 Author Posted October 12, 2009 We will start at the helicopter and work down past the ballfields like the first time we had the clean-up. I'm having problems getting more sponsers onboard so I'm not too sure what we will have to eat. The park is a mess as if you couldn't tell from the last rain. I'll post a couple of pics to show everyone what we are dealing with. Thanks for the help Buzz. wily Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 my boys and i will come down and help as for food -- we don't need much -- we could bring something if you want to do a pot luck kind of thing
Buzz Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Sounds good Ollie. I'm sure we'll do just fine. I look forward to meeting you Wily. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Be prepared for anything on that day with the weather. I'm thinking chili with fixens, but need help with side dishes. Will someone help out with this? Can someone bring crackers and then someone else bring soda? Any ideas? Look for the article in the Daily News.
