Danoinark Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I'm with you on that. Haven't been there since I was a kid 30+ years ago, and I haven't heard anything that makes me want to go back. Gimme cool, clear, feces-free water and a canoe loaded with just enough stuff to get by, surrounded by the sound of NOTHING, and I'm good. 405z06 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Hear, Hear It's a really good fishery. I love floating for smallies as much as anyone, and the lake can get really rough during the summer weekends, but you know that and adjust accordingly. The spring and fall is where it's at anyway. I think people overlook how good LOZ is for bass fishing because of the pleasure-boaters.

Flysmallie Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Fall at LOZ can be incredible. I love it in the fall. Big spinnerbaits right on the bank, I can't wait. And you won't see any pleasure boaters. Â Â

And you won't see any pleasure boaters. When those huge Gizzard Shad start running the banks with their backs out of water the huge spinner bait never works Some of the biggest fish I have ever caught come on that around November. And LOZ is the best bass lake in the state...I've seen a tournamnet in the spring where it took a 5 fish limit of 30 lbs to win. Plus they say its Ecoli free now
Guest csfishinfool Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I don't mean to offend you but ......What is adernaline????? while you have you dictionary out check the spelling of adernaline? duh While YOU have the dictionary out checking every word I post, check the meaning of the word douche bag! Harping on a fisherman for spelling wrong darn !!!
Members knuck Posted September 15, 2009 Members Posted September 15, 2009 Spring & Fall are ideal for taking advantage of LOZ's fishing, most of the big rigs are winterized and put to sleep for about 7-8 months of the year. The topic starter might not think those crashes were so funny if he knew a young boy died in the helicopter accident.

The boy dieing in the crash is not funny at all, nor did i think it was ....Its just ironic, and funny he crashed a million dollar boat and a heli in two years.
