duckydoty Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 DD'sMC and I finally got back down to the Branson area and were able to pick up her kids for the weekend. We decided to go fishing and camping at RR for the weekend. On Friday evening after setting up camp I stopped in at Tim's Fly Shop up on the hill and visited with Tim for a while. He filled me in on all the hot flies and most productive way to get the kids on fish. Tim stocked me up with everything I needed since all my Missouri fishing gear is still in storage and we had a great weekend. Tim was right on with his fly seclection! We caught some great quality and numbers of fish over the weekend. If you go to RR State Park you really should give Tim's Fly Shop a visit while your there. We got rained on all day Saturday but that did not stop the bite. Sunday was a beautiful day for fishing and everyone in the party landed fish. Once again.... Thanks to Tim for helping to make it a great weekend! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
laker67 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Welcome back to missouri waters! I hope you still have most of your body parts from all of those bear encounters. I will be looking forward to fishing with you and DD'sMC on the downstream side of RR.

I still have all my body parts but I did bring back an extra body part from one of them bears up there. I now have a nice "Bear Whistle" that I am more than happy to let people I dont like blow on. We are moving in our house today and should be fishing Taney tonight if I can find all my gear. Its good to be back! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Terry Beeson Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 A coon whistle is suppose to be good luck. I'm betting a bear whistle would be very good luck as well. I knew a man several years ago who owned a walking cane make out of three bull whistles...
