Members Indiana Trout Posted September 25, 2009 Members Posted September 25, 2009 Wowzer!!! Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known. --Pooh's Little Instruction Book, inspired by A. Brian K. Shaffer Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 -- great fish.. no doubt -- but 30 inches with that girth just does not add up It would have been a skinny snakey fish.. and this fish is not LOOKS like a fat 26 inch bow with an even larger than 16 inch girth. A great rainbow...MANY have seen and a few caught that size of fish... me being one EDIT - 12:56am - After watching the video 5 or 6 times.. c'mon... not 30 inches.. not even close Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
tippett7 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Nice fish. What techniques do you like to use while fishing up in the outlet?
Jeremy Hunt Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 It's great to see rainbows like this at Taney. All positive signs on why regulations are important. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
steveearle Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 No one mentioned John was an FLW Tour pro and won the FLW Championship in 2002...($260,000)...He is also the one who broke his neck on a ferry cable practicing for an FLW tournament 2 years later...ring a bell...just an FYI
Bird Watcher Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 No one mentioned John was an FLW Tour pro and won the FLW Championship in 2002...($260,000)...He is also the one who broke his neck on a ferry cable practicing for an FLW tournament 2 years later...ring a bell...just an FYI I knew it. He also took third at the Field and Stream tournament of champions a couple weeks back. He also beats my uncle and his buddies like a drum at their little personal "sportsman's olympics" every year on Shoal Creek. Like I said back on my previous post, John can pretty much do it all.
