That thing is sweet. I'd like to hang it on my wall in my bar downstairs. My fish don't require nets. I just grab their faces and they're fine with it.

Those are really nice looking nets. I appreciate your work. I'm a wood working junkie too.

In my opinion, you may be underpriced on a few of these. Of course, I don't know what people pay for hand crafted fishing nets these days. I do know what people pay for wood, and I do know what shop time costs. I'm guessing that you aren't making any real profit, but are having a good time in the shop.

Very nice work!!! I love the brown trout handle...

I have a proposal for you as well, but I'm sure Phil's is closer to fruition than mine. Dang... I wish I had known this a few weeks ago...

Jeff,

Being a net builder myself{Rainbow Networks}, I must say that I admire your craftsmanship. Experimenting with exotic woods is a gamble at best. Thanks for posting some of your nets.

Thanks. I like the exotic woods for their color, especially the red padauk (e.g. #23 with the paduk & ziricote). I also collect and dry my own woods for the handles. I'm about to glue up an elliptical one with a handle of smoketree, red mulberry, euonymous, peach, Kentucky coffee tree & sycamore. Jeff
