ColdWaterFshr Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Picture # 1: clue - in Arkansas; this view is visible on the shuttle to: Picture # 2: same river as # 1, but name the access: Picture # 3: in Missouri, and yes it was floatable, but barely, and bonus if you can name the dude in the picture, it ain't Paul Dallas either: Picture # 4: in Missouri: Picture # 5: in Missouri, and something in the background gives it away, and bonus if you can name either of the dudes in the picture, and they ain't Paul Dallas either:
Danimal Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Picture #1 is Big Piney Creek north of Russelville. Shuttle heading up to Helton's Farm. #2 is Longpool Campground. Not sure about the Mo. pics. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
hoglaw Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Good friends have a cabin right across the river from Helton's. As far as I know it's the only one on the river...at least that I've seen. Killer piece of property.
eric1978 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Picture # 3: in Missouri, and yes it was floatable, but barely, and bonus if you can name the dude in the picture, it ain't Paul Dallas either: Jack's Fork up in the Prongs?
Wheatenheimer Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Picture # 5: in Missouri, and something in the background gives it away, and bonus if you can name either of the dudes in the picture, and they ain't Paul Dallas either: If this is an old picture, it kinda looks like the James just above the old McCall bridge. Once was a cool old one lane iron bridge, now two boring lanes of concrete. The two dudes...............don't know, but they are loaded for an expidition of Lewis and Clark preportion! I Love this game! Kevin
ColdWaterFshr Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Danimal is correct on question 1 and 2, indeed it is the Big Piney in Ark, and Lonpool. Would be nice to have a place across from Heltons Farm - I love that river. Pictures # 3 and #4 still have not been answered correctly.
ColdWaterFshr Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 # 4 is not the Niangua. But I'll give you a hint, its on the other side of I-44, and that bridge should be condemned, but as far as I know, it hasn't been yet! # 3 is not up in the Prongs of the JF. Think crooked.
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I'm having trouble placing the bridge, but it seems familiar. The water looks like the Osage Fork, but could be the Gasconade? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
