ohmz138 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I have one for my GL2 it is a fillter that threads on to the lens. I have been wanting to get down there and flim the outlet with my camera just do not have time. New baby on the way this week I have been getting new floors done in the house. Plus guiding down on the White. I wonder if I made my day 30hrs if it would catch on. Lol Congrats on the new baby when it arrives.
laker67 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Well what is the latest update on this 30 point buck. Did it go up the ladder or head back to hollister? I know Brian is there every day, give us an update.
Micheal Kyle Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Thank you I know my wife wishes it would come to an end soon. It has been a long hard pregancy, I am sure if this were the first it would be the last. To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
Murdoc Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I just hope it's a quick easy delivery for your wife! Good luck!! Smiles are free http://rdpflyrods.com/
Quillback Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 It's hard to get a perspective on size from the video, but it looks like a noce fish. Just curious, I never fish Taney, is that spot where the video is shot off limits to fishing?
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 20, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted October 20, 2009 Yes- it's above the cable at outlet #3.
Fly_Guy Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Something bothering me - After Brian's October 15th posting video of the brown above the cable in outlet three, there is a video entitled "Releasing a nice brown trout in Taney in Branson MO" by someone "Fly's and Guides" Live Reports. - shows up in the bottom as a video link. If the trout caught in that video is at the Table Rock Dam, it appears to be WAY above the top cable, in the area off limits to fishing. I've got to be missing something here - is that Taneycomo and Table Rock Dam, or another place??? Then again, it may just be the camera angle, and I owe whoever is fishing a apology. Hopefully just a peculiar camera angle.
Jeremy Hunt Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Nothing wrong with that vid, just the angle of the camera my friend, but if you want to read into it, go ahead. What trout are you talking about, the brown. It was caught way below the cable, the other trout, well that was caught right at the cable at the front of the dam. Great fishing up there and most the big fish live there year round. Try it for yourself next time you're at Taney. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
Fly_Guy Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 No harm intended - looking at it again, it is the camera angle - the rainbow looks like it was caught up closer to the dam, but if you were that close, the dam would be much taller. Just the camera angle. On a side note - I've always wanted to take a boat and a jigging spoon up to the dam.... Sorry if I upset you! Standing under the cable was the ticket last spring in the flood - I caught a lot of smallmouth there, (including the 4lber in the avatar). I wish I had a rod that would cast about 150 yards upstream though...
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 20, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted October 20, 2009 Just remember, FISHING above the cable will get you a ticket. Not just standing. That area is CLOSED to fishing.
