I don't wants show you many more...done showed almost all the pictures I have which is just a

few of what I've caught.

All I have left is pics of the bigger ones, lol...I aint tryin to make no enemies.

I sure don't see the fish I used to, mainly cause I can't fish it like I used to. I suspect years ago me and

a few buddies did put a pretty good dent in the population of big ones.

Far as the real big ones I released many more than I ever kept...was just fortunate to get in on some good fishing years cause a good fishin hole is getting harder and harder to come by.

At that time I liked feeding my kids what was by my standards one of the healthiest, cleanest meat money couldn't buy...I liked it too, finally figured out a way to broil those larger fillets with about 3 seperate flavors all in one fillet...a meal that's just hard to beat.

I may just have to go down tomm. and see if I can't catch me a stinker...talkin about it is makin me crave one, damnit, lol.

You should post that recipe,unless its a secret one which I would totally understand how that goes, I'm just curious because I 've heard from many brown trout is a terrible tasting fish and I'd like to try it myself because I'll try anything once... more than likely ill like it cause i love me some fish

The only fish in my book thats just dowright crappy tastin is smallies...I think wrench even has a way to cook up a mess of chubs...tells me they are kinda like 'Ozark Sardines'...guess when you catch as many as he does you have to eat.

Just giggin ya wrench...some other bored evening I'll tell the 'Chicken Hunting Preserve' story...you'd have to know the owner to truely appreciate the story.

Only critter I've seen him kill that he can't make eadable one way or another is crow...believe me he's tried, I can't go there...I aint eatin nothin that eats road kill, thats where I draw the line.

Maybe if we make it to the 'Mad Max' era they may taste pretty stinkin good, lol.

Hey, foil baked Chub marinated in real butter and lemon pepper ? ya never know.

I got in trouble for shooting a woodpecker when I was a kid. That red head was just too much to pass up for a kid with a Weaver 3-6x variable. My Dad got real pissed off and told me he was going to take my rifle away unless I dressed it and ate it.

Guess what I learned ? There is absolutely NO MEAT on a woodpecker. Not one bite. They are nothing but feathers, guts, and bone.

So if you're ever in a survival situation, and only have one .22 round.....you'd better pass up the woodpecker.

Man I'm sorry but that made me laugh my butt off! That totally is a fatherly thing to do, my old man would have done the same thing.... If your gonna kill it, it better be to eat or to stop it from eating your food- ex. the rabbit or squirrel or deer that is ravaging your garden..And im sure if he'd killed the deer eating his garden instead of poppin him in the butt with a pelletto run him off we'd have been processin him the shed like it were deer season.. I shot a woodpecker one time and pops got real pissed and his reasoning was similar, but like you I was just a kid with an air rifle and had no idea what I was doing other than just killin another bird, but at least he didnt make me try and eat it

I fully agree crow sounds downright nasty and that would be one of the very few foods I wouldn't try... Crows are nasty annoying sons of bitches

Yep, the thought of eating crow just about gets me gagging, but the fact is they don't eat anything more disgusting than what catfish eat.

Lots of those big browns in Taney and trout in the parks are a bunch of gut eaters...would probably rather have fresh stuff but when they get fat and lazy I reckon guts will do.

Crow?...there's more than one way to eat crow...probably have eaten my fair share over the years...I'm sure a few times I wasn't even hungry, lol.
