bigredbirdfan Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Glad everyone had a good time. The weather can't be any nicer. Wish I could have joined maybe next year.
KCRIVERRAT Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Great day down at Roaring River to everyone who came and thanks to those who conjurred up the idea 5 or so years ago. Nice to meet you guys and gal (DD'S MC) in person. Looking forward to making as many gatherings as I can in the future. KC HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Flysmallie Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I had a great time. It was really good to meet everyone and see those that I had already met. Couldn't ask for a better group of guys to fish and hang out with. Thanks to everyone. The highlight of the day was seeing our new buddy Chris, CS Huntley, catch his biggest trout ever. Great Job Chris. Â Â
Danoinark Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 As always its a pleasure seeing all the folks who are there...seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Steve and Bob always do the biscuits and gravy and the hot dog lunch up mighty fine. Thanks again to them both for hosting us. Good to see KC, Chief, Flysmallie, Buzz, Kevin, T Beeson, Ducky and Ms. Doty, Don, and my old friend Bill Anderson who I have not seen in over 25 years. He and I were colleagues when we both lived in Memphis and he now is in Monette, Mo. I am sure there are some of the new faces I didn't get to say hello to but hope everyone puts this event on their calendar for next year. I managed to catch a few dinks, and practice what I do best, long distance releases... And as always I visited more than I fished. Thanks to you all for making this a meaningful event. ollie Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Sorry, I didn't get down there until around 9:00. Met up with buzz, chief, and Kc, but not until later in the day. I had my best day ever on quantity for fish, but not the biggest. Caught the double nickel with the biggest at 18" and then one at 16", but a side from that most of them were around 8-12". I wish I had made the biscut and gravy feed, I had to settle on a Little Debie snack cake. Great Job Chris. Great fish Chris. Good meeting you. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Don Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I am grateful that I got to go. It was a nice day. Nice to meet you guys and see a few others I haven't seen in awhile. Thanks for the biscuits and gravy. Lots of big fish hooked and lots caught. Most of mine (stockers) were picked up nymphing scuds and sowbugs. My friend Greg caught most of his on dry flies. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Members NechesBobcat Posted November 16, 2009 Members Posted November 16, 2009 Hey everyone! Just got home in Texas. We had a great weekend fishing. We caught some real nice fish. Nothing just awesome but alot of above average fish. We wanted to make it to breakfast but i had 2 people with me that didn't have fishing licenses and I had to get them hooked up and rigged up before 8. And we didn't make it to Missouri until 2 a.m. fri. The weather was awesome the whole time. We had a great trip and can't wait to get back up there.
