taxidermist Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 The last two weekends for some reason the small browns to 2 lbs have been everywhere. There has been a release of Palamino Rainbows, we say several last weekend and Yesterday my wife caught one. I have caught 7 largemouth and 9 smallmouth bass out of the White the past two weekends. Thousands of rainbows.. Well maybe 40 a piece both days with lures and Power Biat. Several rainbows are being cuaght in Crooked Creek above Kelly's slab, a spawer male was caught yesterday near Silver Valley Road just out of Harrison. I expect they have migrated a bit with the fall high water.
Ham Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I guess removal of the slab is going to allow for more fish migration. Those are some crazy trout going above Yellville. I'd bet more than one doesn't make the trip downstream in time. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
taxidermist Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 You are right they will have to have high water to make it from Flippin to the White.. With the gates open and generators tunning more may run up the creek.... That slab has had a lot of smallies caught from it this year. kind of sad to remove the hole works great for fish habitat. I just dont see where the ARFC needs a .5million$$$ bridge.
