Justin Spencer Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 How'd you do? Did you stop by here, some of my floaters said they saw you down past the first island. A 30" brown was caught down there the other day, just in front of the century 21 sign. For $700,000 you can have exclusive river access to that big fish. Look forward to hearing from you. Tito Degiosio Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 No 30 inch browns were landed all though I gave it my best shot just past that century 21 sign at the rocks on the same side of the river had to make some long cast I did manage to hook into something there that pulled like I was hooked to a boat but I never got it landed one big swirl of water and that was the end I just know there's a two foot brown lurking between or around those rocks It just looks to good I spent alot of time right there then I made my way up to the islands after the floaters went by we had a long period about a hour and half of nothing then after breaking off on a rock I messed around in the water looking at what kinda of bugs were in there with my net I pulled up alot of big black stones flies and something else I'm not sure what it was be but it looked like a very small stone fly but almost a grayish brown color so I looked in my fly box for something that resembled it I found I little fly that tied while goofing off one day that was pretty close to it It was a size 14 hook tied with elk hair same color and the hair almost made it look like the little legs the bug had It looked alot like a gray elk hair caddis so tied it on along with a micro Egg pattern and then boom first drift Fish On wasn't expecting it and due to the tree limb above my head I wasn't able to keep enough pressure on the fish and it was gone one down side to fishing barbless but it got me going anyway so I moved alittle and then again another fish on gone again with nothing more then a short fight and one small run but it was good sign to what may come after missing the hook another fish I started to hook and land rainbow after rainbow with two browns in the mix this went like this all the way back down to the last island all though nothing was bigger 15 inches it was alot of fun as always my plan was to fish the island then go up to sunburst and with fish after fish between the islands I wound up staying till almost dark 30 didn't do any photo shoots I try not take the picture of any fish smaller then 16 inches I did manage to catch a brown that was only about 5 inches didn't know they stocked them that small or was it a wild one no fins clipped I had a great time and will be back next week sometime this time I'll have to stop at sunburst first Justin other wise I get stuck fishing a run that is producing fish or I see something like those rocks 60 feet on the other side and try and catch something around them I feel it in my shoulder today from making those long cast drift after drift I did hook myself for the first time and prob. not the last set the hook right in my shoulder blade when the hook got me the split shot hit me right it the nose couldn't help but laugh and look to see if anyone saw does anyone know what that little bug could be looked almost like a small stone maybe thats what it is but the river is full of them at lease I know what to tie for next week Brian glad to hear you caught some fish was worried that it wouldn't be that great of fishing maybe it's picking up look forward to reading about your fishing trip and seeing the photo's when will it be ready ? till the next cast I'll catch ya later The Ghost Angler Tito DeGiosio & Cydney Siri Pleasnt Valley Cabin and Camping (Home of the fresh baked pies) www.pleasant-valley.biz 970-249-8330

I think he had a deal worked out with someone for $650,000 but it fell through at the last minute. It is a great looking piece of property but about $300,000 to high if you ask me. Glad you had some success, I went out tonight and hooked a couple baby bows on a hare's ear, but it was slow, and I have had to learn to fish left handed which is a challenge to say the least. I may know of a place over near Bryant Creek, nice house and up to 80 acres, I can give you his name and number if interested. Probably be a $200,000 purchase or so for all of it, but he had talked about selling acreage and splitting up house and 10 acres. Justin Spencer Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 We have the water turned off now so if you stay in a sleeper cabin $65 per night you would have to rough it. Our Riverhouse is available for $150 per night (off season rate) this has kitchen/bath and sleeps up to 12 (so find some friends to help split cost). Give me a ring or shoot and e-mail to sunburstranch@earthlink.net and I'll give you the name and number of seller.
