Hello, My son and I will honor our New Years Day tradition. We will fish the Current Friday, sat, Sunday. Will be cold in the Tent. The highs are in the 20's

My goal is one nice BROWN. I always enjoy my winter outings. The current can actually fish great when its real cold. 2009 has been a tough year on the current. Even though my son caught a 24" by 18" girth Male Hook-Jaw Rainbow. Around 8lbs, but the Brown size has been smaller for us anyway. And seems to be not as many fish. lol I'm getting old. Well don't think there will be many other anglers. So if we don't Git it Done..Won't be able to blame it on that

been thinking of packing the camp and the negative 40 sleeping bag and staying the new year there for a few days my self

I just have to see how I feel in the morning been up and down all night might be coming down with something I hope not my

goal was to be fishing when the clock strikes 12:00 and hopefully a fish on but I will be fine with casting a fly somewhere

Yep me and a buddy went down there today and there are alot of fols there already. we fished below Parker and didnt see any one and caught a few small brownies. There was a large group putting in at baptist or tan vat around noon.

If you hurry you can catch them.They will be between baptist and parker.

That was the first weekend in February 2004. Just below the Braids ,2nd bluff on river right past the powerline, about half way between Baptist & Parker. REALLY cold weekend..colder than its gonna be this weekend.

Theres a few ringing in the new year this evening, but you can expect lots of float traffic tomorrow. But if you see some on Saturday...its probably not us. I'd wouldnt hike to far below Baptist this weekend if you dont like a crowd. Have a Happy New Year! Hope to have a fish story or two on Monday.
