I know I'm also not adding anything relevant comments but I thought it was interesting the way this thread started yet quickly left that subject for something completely off the wall. Lilley started talking about people that might have been catching fish at the Powersite Dam and look where its gone. There hasn't been another comment on that idea. Its been more like an excercise you would expect in elementary school where you start with one kid and try to pass the message from #1 to #20 seeing how screwed up it can get.

Again, nothing of any value, just an observation.

But on the original subject, any word on the fishing at powersite and the origianl topic?

Well, I said 'way up there that I was looking forward to a Pothole report and I'd get my boat out of mothballs real quick if I heard a good one. Since then, nobody's posted a fishing report who's actually been there - so we got to talking about trout, stripers, yellow perch, ramp access, fish species in B.S., stocking programs, and how stripers and blue catfish gobble up stocker trout. Interesting stuff to gab about with other fishermen, I thought.

So, OK, back to the original subject - but it's kinda hard to talk about how fishing is at the Pothole if nobody here knows.

Talked to Buster... he hasn't talked to the guy he got the initial report from in a week. But he said they haven't changed the water flow pattern so fishing should not have changed - still should be good.

Babler and I are going to try to get down there next week.

Try.

Well, I wonder how the fishing is at the Pothole.

If Phil and Bill try it this week, with the warmest day all week supposed to be 28 degrees, they're a lot tougher than me. I don't want to catch a fish that bad.

I guess we can't talk about anything else here while waiting to find out, 'cause that would be "off-topic".

Gee, I wonder how the fishing is at the Pothole.

:D:D:D

Wishing everyone here a healthy, happy, and safe New Year filled with lots of good fishing - and, my apologies for the off-topic holiday sentiment.

I think that's pretty typical of most forums... hi-jacking is pretty much a given.

Cajunangler its probably not as far off topic as one would think, both Stripers and Bow's show up in the Pothole.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Yes Arkansas still stocks around 30,000 bows from the net pens in the Pot Hoals area.

At one time when Mark Oliver was the bio in charge he stocked Browns and lakers, he was also the key person on stocking stripers.. Bull Shoals boat dock use to run pontoon trips nightly for bows... One good spot for Bos is the Jimmy Creek Arm were the three caves are, under lights. problem is the caves are underwater right now.

Lake Trout? How long ago did they do that? I am assuming that they never survived. Anyone ever catch on down here?
