Not like we do...

:hi: NOW THAT'S A FIRE  I bet once that got going it would produce heat for hours. Hey Gavin, what was in that Browns Gut? Hurts to see one of those nice Browns dead. I know its legal. Was that your 24 incher? They should let people keep the rainbows to eat. Then there would be more room for Big Brown Trout. LOL attn: New 2010 Current River limit change... Three Rainbows, and only one over 18". Release all Brown Trout.

Then after a few years of protecting the browns (with armed agents) let them keep one Brown over 22". I don't know why MO conservation calls an 18" a trophy. That's just a nice fish. A trophy to me is 8lbs and above. A 22" limit would make the Current River Rule even more.jmho :bye:

The wall tent, 2 stoves, 2 card tables, and all our other stuff goes down the river in canoes...takes a bunch to haul it...

That brown had a stoneroller in its stomach along with some unidentifiable green goo.

I'll make no excuse for eating a 24" brown. Hardly a waste, folks got lots of pictures with it, and anyone who wanted some had some tasty fish to celebrate the new year. The rest of them are safe for awhile.

Great trip and photos. You guys are hardcore. I've never floated that upper area of the Current. Is it good strong current? I'd like to float it late spring in my Water Skeeter but those are alot of work in slow or slack current. Is it good steady water between Tan Vat and Baptist, or Baptist and Parker?

Thanks for the info.

You could float a toon through the Blue Ribbon Area w/o much difficulty...Baptist to Parker..5.5 miles is the better float but you will have to run your own shuttle.Jadwin Canoe could shuttle you for a Baptist to Cedargrove float (7 miles).
