ozark trout fisher Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 You cannot keep a foul hooked game fish under any circumstance. It's in the code book. This applies to all waters of the state where a fishing permit is required. Thanks.
troutfiend1985 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Well, I learned something. I didn't know that a foul hooked fish could not be kept. It has never been a real issue to me as I mainly catch and release, but I am sure that I have broken that law once or twice in my life. drew03cmc Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I would have a hard time breaking off a hatchery fish because he rolled the fly and got hooked in the back. That fish will be replaced in the morning, or in March at the latest, so no harm done to the fishery, but as a sportsman, I would consider the quarry first and foremost before considering my fly.
